Dealer Backstock is a nationwide wholesale marketplace connecting licensed RV and trailer dealers across the United States and Canada. Our platform is accessible at dealerbackstock.com and app.dealerbackstock.com. When we say “Dealer Backstock,” “we,” “us,” or “our” in this policy, we mean Dealer Backstock, LLC.

This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have over it.

What Information We Collect

Information You Give Us

When you sign up for or use Dealer Backstock, you give us:

Account information: Your name, business name, email address, phone number, and dealership address.
Verification information: Dealer license numbers, state or provincial registration details, and business credentials used to verify your dealership.
Listing content: Vehicle descriptions, photos, pricing, VINs, and other inventory details you choose to post.
Communications: Messages sent between dealers through the platform, support requests, and feedback you submit.
Payment information: Billing name, address, and payment method details processed through our payment processor. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.

Information We Collect Automatically

When you use our platform, we automatically collect:

Usage data: Pages visited, searches performed, listings viewed, alerts triggered, and features used.
Device and browser data: IP address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers.
Session data: Time and duration of visits, referring URLs, and click paths.

Information From Third Parties

We may receive information from:

Payment processors (such as Stripe) to confirm billing status and manage subscriptions.
Identity and license verification services used during the dealer onboarding process.

Run the platform: Process sign-ups, verify dealer credentials, publish listings, deliver alerts, and facilitate dealer-to-dealer communication.
Manage your subscription: Process payments, send billing receipts, and handle plan changes or cancellations.
Improve the product: Understand how dealers use Backstock so we can fix issues, prioritize features, and improve the experience.
Communicate with you: Send product updates, feature announcements, and support responses. You can opt out of non-essential communications at any time.
Enforce our terms: Investigate misuse, enforce our Dealer Verification standards, and protect the integrity of the network.
Comply with the law: Meet legal obligations, respond to lawful requests, and protect rights.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for targeted advertising.

How We Share Your Information

With Other Dealers on the Platform

When you list inventory, your listing content — unit details, photos, and asking price — is visible to all verified dealers on the network. Your dealership name and general location are associated with your listings. Your direct contact information is shared only when you choose to initiate or respond to a deal inquiry.

With Service Providers

We share data with vendors who help us operate Backstock, including:

Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers
Payment processors
Email and SMS delivery services
Analytics tools

These vendors are contractually required to protect your data and use it only for the services they provide to us.

For Legal Reasons

We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government request, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the safety of any person, prevent fraud, or enforce our terms.

Business Transfers

If Dealer Backstock is acquired, merged, or sold, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your data becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to keep you logged in, remember your preferences, and understand how dealers use the platform.

Types of cookies we use:

Strictly necessary: Required for the platform to function (login sessions, CSRF protection).
Analytics: Help us understand usage patterns (page views, search behavior). We use privacy-respecting analytics and do not share raw analytics data with advertisers.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling strictly necessary cookies will break core platform functionality.

Do Not Track: Our platform does not currently respond to Do Not Track (DNT) browser signals. We do not engage in the cross-site tracking that DNT is intended to prevent.

Data Retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your account, we retain data for up to 12 months to resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and prevent fraud before deleting it from our systems.

Listing data (including sold or expired listings) may be retained in anonymized or aggregated form to improve our matching and recommendation systems.

Your Rights

Depending on where you are located, you may have the right to:

Access the personal information we hold about you.
Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
Delete your account and associated personal data.
Export your data in a portable format.
Opt out of non-essential communications.

California residents: Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, request correction, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information. You also have the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information, to the extent we collect any. To submit a request, contact us at support@dealerbackstock.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

Nevada residents: Under Nevada SB 220, Nevada residents may request that we not sell their personal information. We do not sell personal information. You may still submit a request by contacting us at support@dealerbackstock.com.

Canadian residents: We comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy legislation, including Quebec’s Act Respecting the Protection of Personal Information in the Private Sector (Law 25). You have the right to access your personal information, request correction, and withdraw consent where applicable. Security

We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), hashed passwords, and access controls to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at support@dealerbackstock.com.

Dealer Backstock may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Review their privacy policies independently.

Children

Dealer Backstock is a B2B platform for licensed businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, contact us at support@dealerbackstock.com and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the platform before the changes take effect. Continued use of Dealer Backstock after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
